I don't have a .006 can I use .068 or .1 ?
also a .25 can I safely drop to .22

Have you noticed that the difference between 0.006 and 0.068 is an order of magnitude (11 times)?
And between 0.006 and 0.1 is 17 times?

You can't do that.

Now yes, you usually can safely replace .25 with .22. Provided they both are in the same units.

The closet standard value to 0.006 is 0.0056. I assume it is in microfarads so it is same as 5.6nF or 5,600pF depending on the search tool.
