https://pacifictv.ca/schematics/philco17manual.pdf Whilst it doesn't show a 6J8G on the schematic it does have a note that the model 17 and 19 was supposed to have it. I find the model number system Canadian Philco used confusing in sets from the 1940s, the earlier ones used a "3" ahead of the model number to denote it was a Canadian model, but in the 1940s they used old two digit model numbers that really did not mean anything.
