Philco speaker with bad coil.

Thanks all for the advice.

I have another 37-620 code 125 but with the same speaker and field coil. I measured the voltage across the field and it averages around 22 volts. I calculated the current using the 1140 ohms of the field and multiplied that time the 22 volts and came up with about .45 watts. that seems low. To be on the safe side, I will try a metal film 1140 or close standard value 5 watt resistor and change the value of the second cap as suggested in the first post. Am I on the right track?
