Interesting... I'm guilty of swapping glass tubes in place of metal. I did find in radio that used a lot of metal tubes that it did work better with metal tubes in some positions. Since I didn't have a tube chart, I could only assume. In others, esp the AA5 sets, I didn't notice much difference. This is good info. Thanks for sharing!
