philco 48-482
#4

Here in the states there is not much of a collector's market for the 48-482. For that matter anything post '38 or so for the Philco. Still plenty of post war sets around that nobody wants. Most of us have to use good judgement in deciding what we take in for restoration. Sometime it comes down to are skill sets vs level or damage. And also how much we want to invest into a particular project.

Some like me pickup basket cases cause I like a challenge. Or I see something others don't that don't involve dollar signs.

I just mention as a possible reason for getting no responses to your post.

When my pals were reading comic books
I was down in the basement in my dad's
workshop. Perusing his Sam's Photofoacts
Vol 1-50 admiring the old set and trying to
figure out what all those squiggly meant.
Circa 1966
Now I think I've got!
