Furniture back in those day could best be described as "busy" or "gaudy" nothing sleek or minimalist. Old homes with bad taste furnishings like this are definitely not my style, reminds me of the house in Singing in the Rain or some of the old Three Stooges shorts done in this type of mausoleum home complete with matronly women.
