If you still have the pot open, also clean the brass ring and contact points on the the pot with 1000 or 1200 grit sandpaper to clean the residue off the metal, then blow it clear. You might want to bend all contact brushes out ever so slightly to increase the contact effort a little. Just my 2 cents worth. Take care and BE HEALTHY! Gary
