I'm working on a 37-61. The primary (feedback winding) of the Short Wave oscillator coil, part 10, (lugs 3 and 4) is open. The schematic is here:

The feedback winding appears to be inside the form or otherwise not accessable. As a fix, I am thinking about trying to wind a feedback winding on the outside of the form, near the cold end. The tuned winding is about 18 turns of fairly heavy wire. I am thinking that 3-4 turns for a feedback winding, of fine wire, should work OK (although I only have a 50% chance of getting the winding direction correct!) But the coil is fairly accessable.

Any suggestions? Alternatives?
