Philco 40-195 sudden problem.

It could be a simple case of something touching something it shouldn't.
It is unlikely inside, I think could be the wire coming out touching. I which case it is simply insulated or re-soldered. People who do not drink, do not smoke, do not eat red meat will one day feel really stupid lying there and dying from nothing.
