Yes, I actually did something I normally do not do, and that is to travel on a major holiday weekend.
Off to NC we went, Debbie and I, on Friday. We found ourselves in Mount Airy late Friday afternoon. For those of you that do not know, Mount Airy was the home of Andy Griffith, and the town was the inspiration for the fictional TV town of Mayberry.
But I digress...a good friend and fellow Phorum member sent me home with this:

What is it? Why, it's a Philco 35 cathedral!
The Philco 35 is the battery-operated version of the Philco 70. The cabinet needs work, but the chassis is very clean. Should be a nice one!
I was very, very happy to get this one. I used to own one several years ago, foolishly sold it (and several others I should never have let go of), regretted it ever since. Now I have another
