I am finally working on this radio, and today I experienced a Philco Rite of Passage: My first tar-boat.
It went well, at least so far. I have all the crud cleaned out of the boat and have cleaned it with mineral spirits to remove the last of the goo. Now, to install the new capacitors... here's hoping I remember how to read a schematic. Thank heavens for landmarks like a power switch!
Oh, bugger... just checking--if a capacitor isn't marked with a polarity, it doesn't have one, right?
