Threaded Mode | Linear Mode

Does anyone out there have a Kennedy XV (Model 15)? This is the sloping front panel model with 5 tubes stuck in into it.

The schematic is a nightmare beyond belief. How does B+ ever get to the middle tube (1st audio) without a transformer? Tonight I will try putting a few hundred ohms across the "Stage 1" jack and hope for RC coupling from the first audio to the second audio stage.
