Deviations from Schematic
As I am recapping the 37-650, I am noticing things which seem different from the schematic- one in particular is a condensor clipped from its original end point at a tube connection, and relocated to one of the bakelite connectors. Should I replace as was, or as indicated by the schematic?

Just trying to find out so I get it right, and good as new.

See if these "deviations" match any of the Production Change notes. Your chassis could be a later production run than the original Run #1.

If not, then it could be "leftovers" from a previous repair attempt.
