After stripping:

Not bad...but stripping the finish in combination with the bright sunshine revealed...more flaws!

Uh-oh! Spaghettios!

The gouges in top can be easily dealt with by using walnut color Timber Mate...but what about the veneer damage on the front panel?

No matter what I do, the repair will show...

...so I took the easy way out and applied walnut Timber Mate to the front panel as well.

Some more natural wood filler was applied to the bottom edges of the bottom front trim where there were more minor gouges and such.

Now, I'm waiting for all of the stuff to dry so I can sand it all down and see what I have to work with.
