Philco 112B shadow mask?
#1

When I got this set the phenolic dial was smashed, see attached pic,   anyway I ordered a great reproduction from Radiodaze,  After I installed the new dial I do not see a light bar across the dial to pinpoint what frequency you are on,   Here is a link to a video on youtube to what I am talking about.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MabzaMx9Lkc,   I went onto radiodaze site and they show a shadowmask for a philco 89 and 60B   but none for a 112B?  Has anyone ever made one themselves?  where do you buy the yellow Phenolic?   Now I wish I wouldn't have thrown away the busted up original dial!
any help would be appreciated!

I took lots of pictures of my 112X but none are very good pics of the mask.

Here's the best one I found (the mask on mine had a crack on the left side):

The mask is a simple enough. I actually planned to have my 112 chassis back out of the radio this weekend so I'll try to get a better picture and some measurements.

BTW - you would either have a model 112 or a 112X - there's no such beast as a 112B AFAIK. The 'B' letter would indicate a baby grand (table top) version -but only starting with 1932 models.

Thanks for the reply Nathan! Pics and measurements would be appreciated! Mine is a Canadian model maybe it is just a 112? It is the console model with the slanted speaker board.

Nathan, could you do me a huge favor if you take pics? Could you also take a shot of the mount that holds the mask? A side shot and one from the front? Someone bent the crap out of mine and the plates that hold the mask rub against my new dial! Scared to bend this bracket too much as afraid it will break! Then I'm hooped!

The console model 112 with a slanted speaker board would have to be the 112X:

OK - so here are some detailed pictures of the mask and mount on mine:

Because the mask is curved I wrapped a piece of paper around it and made a pencil rubbing. I then took measurements with digital calipers:

I hope this helps and good luck!

Great! Best case Radiodaze can make them available to all.
