I cant find it..
Is it even Philco?

Not a Philco. Philco did make two car radio ---radios. An- A361 console and A801 chairside.
Not sure what you have there.

I think the only way your going find much about it is to pull the chassis and have a look at it. My best guess is that it might be made by Automatic. They made a bunch of car radios in '40s-60's. Dial reminds me of them, it tunes backwards.

Wow! Ok, I think I can help solve...or just add to...the mystery, which ever way it goes.

I also have the same cabinet, with a Philco car radio in it! I've owned it for 25 years, and I always thought that it was one of the ones Philco produced during the war, even though I could never find any documentation of that. But mine has some tags in the back...maybe they'll help shed some light?

Here's the only mention of the Broome Distributing Company, that I can locate on the internet... from 1950.
