41-608 BOL
#1

Hello experts,

My tone arm on the BOL has dim brightness on the  bulb.  I have used other NOS bulbs and get the same result.  I believe the chassis has the adjustment screw turned up all the way also.  I have used new wires from the socket to the chassis that are slightly higher in thickness, could that be the cause or any other suggestions?  When I use a #55 bulb, which is similar but not correct, it is brighter, but not good on the sound reproduction, I like the original bulbs better.  On my 1942 -1008, no such issues, seems strange.  Any suggestions?

Check the voltages around the 7B5 and the condition of the 7B5. The bulb is powered by rf energy developed by the local osc (7B5). Looks like 11B should adjust the brightness.
