Adjustment 29B for model 40-200
#1

Hello all,
I'm new to this Phorum and also new to restoring Philco radios.  I'm working on my 1st one, 40-200, I have all the docs for it.
I'm doing an alignment and the docs mentions adjusting 29B for 1500 kHz.  I can find all of the adjustments except 29B.
Does anyone know where it is?  The S/N of my chassis is B 45869, model 40-200 code 121.

Thanks
Denis

Hi Denis and welcome,
I don't see in either. From an electrical standpoint #29 sets the low end of the bcb osc and 25B set in high end. Perhaps 29B is a typo and should have been 25B.
I have it younger brother the 41-300, Great player!

figure out what all those squiggly meant.

Now I think I've got!

I agree. Looks like a typo. Step 4 repeats step 2, which is 25B, 4B. The schematic and parts diagram show a 29 only.

Thanks Bob.

Thanks for the info, it looks like it was a typo.  I was able to align the radio using your correction, 25B instead of 29B.
