I scored a blone for the best price.. free. I had it on the variac today. The main PHilter can was getting hot. I'll be getting parts in the next few days. The CRT is good. [/img]

O.K., Big Dave,

I'm curious...just what is a "blone"? Icon_smile

Assuming it's some sort of Philco TV, which model is it?

Sounds like the price was right...

Whoops, that should have been blonde. This is going to be a fun one. There are four or five couplates that I'll need to rebuild. The lytics got hot when I soft started it, but the CRT is good.

The model number is gone, but the chassis is a 9L42. I have service manuals (Tellaides) that will work with this one and also for my 14" Transitione portable.

I should be able to order parts soon.
