I scored a blone for the best price.. free. I had it on the variac today. The main PHilter can was getting hot. I'll be getting parts in the next few days. The CRT is good. [/img]

O.K., Big Dave,
I'm curious...just what is a "blone"? Assuming it's some sort of Philco TV, which model is it? Sounds like the price was right... -- Ron Ramirez Ferdinand, IN |

It's like a "blone fuse," right?

Whoops, that should have been blonde. This is going to be a fun one. There are four or five couplates that I'll need to rebuild. The lytics got hot when I soft started it, but the CRT is good.
The model number is gone, but the chassis is a 9L42. I have service manuals (Tellaides) that will work with this one and also for my 14" Transitione portable. I should be able to order parts soon. Visit the world's worst TV restoration website. http://evilfurnaceman.tripod.com |
