Gallery and decal placement
#1

I was looking at some pics in the gallery and saw this one.  https://philcoradio.com/gallery2/1934a/#..._504L_505L
A couple of things peaked my curiosity. The PHILCO logo above the speaker? Maybe but have seen many sets with it above the knobs or close to the dial escutcheon. Just looks a little out of place. The decal at the top looks to be the same one I have on my 2nd 16B, Sherman Clay and Sons.       Maybe a set that was sold in the west coast. From what I've read the SC dealers started out west and moved eastward. The 16B came from Fla when I got it but it's had 86yrs or so to find way over to this side of the states.
Now I need to figure out a way to keep the decal while doing the refinishing. Have a few idea but have to pickup a few things before I can try.

When my pals were reading comic books
I was down in the basement in my dad's
workshop. Perusing his Sam's Photofoacts
Vol 1-50 admiring the old set and trying to
figure out what all those squiggly meant.
Circa 1966
Now I think I've got!

This one is a bit smaller at 1 3/4 x 1/2. Didn't realize that it was that popular of a company to have it own repro decal.
