Restoring a Philco 38-C9
Hello Everyone
I am new to vintage radio restoration so excuse me for I may ask stupid questions. My wife picked up a Philco 38-C9 radio at an auction sale. I have stripped and sanded the cabinet and have questions regarding the two tone stain. I have read in a previous post that recommends a tinted lacquer (Mohawk Medium Walnut or Perfect Brown). Would this be one of the colours for the cabinet and what would the second tint colour be? The decal; I have a picture from another previous post. Should I order one or would it be possible to have one made by scaling the picture to 1-9/16 long? Thanks for any assistance Cheers |

Medium Walnut for the body, with Extra Dark Walnut on the bottom trim.
