RadioBar Chassis ID
I have to repair a Philco RadioBar 528-37-620. The chassis is not the same as a 37-620?? This one has 2 #42 outputs, driven by another 42 tube. The label and all ID is missing and I'd love to find a schematic for it without first removing it (but will soon enough). Any idea of chassis model would help.
Thanks, Dale |

Re: RadioBar Chassis ID
Hi
Where did you get the 528-37-620 model number? Two 42 tubes driven by a 42 sounds like a 116, 660, 650 or 16. Can you provide photos, not just of the cabinet, but back views showing the chassis? This would help to positively ID the chassis. -- Ron Ramirez Ferdinand, IN |

Re: RadioBar Chassis ID
Though in another thread, at least some of us would like to see photos of your find (you lucky dog you! I don't think a single one of these made it to the West Coast...)

Re: RadioBar Chassis ID
Thanks a million, Chuck. Upon looking, my set has 8 tubes, so it must be a model 650..based on the schematics I looked at.

Re: RadioBar Chassis ID
Radiobar didn't change cabinets as often as Philco did; in fact Radiobar often reused the same cabinets over a few years. This is the case with your set. Yours has a 1936 model 650 or 655 (depending on whether it has three or four bands). The one pictured on my site is shown with a 37-620 chassis. Notice also that the one on my site has a round escutcheon, where yours is oval.
I do not have complete information on all Radiobars. I found a 1937 Radiobar brochure a few years ago, which pictures the models shown in my site's History section. -- Ron Ramirez Ferdinand, IN |

Re: RadioBar Chassis ID
Thanks, Ron. As far as I'm concerned, your website and information is great and absolutely close enough for Government Work and a great place to start. And thanks to all for the responses.
