46-1226 factory finish ?? satin of gloss

i have a 46-1226 code 122 it has a satin finish do you know what was stock finish thanks....john

The original finish would have been gloss lacquer.

thank you.... can the finish be put on by brush or spraying only this is my first redo i was 10 yr old when it was made it an old friend

Best results will be achieved by spraying. Lacquer dries very fast, so brushing would be rather difficult, I would think.
