This is my Philco Phono overhaul. I have done other philco radios in the past (38-10, 38-12 etc...) my only question is what type of needle does it use. I was looking at the cartridge and it says astatic f-2 but I have not been able to find any info. It is a thrumb screw style, it it just a plain jane steel needle?

An "all speed" sapphire needle is what should be used in your cartridge, like the one in this link:
