42-395
#1

I have a question. I'm looking at my Rider's print of the 42-395 schematic; it says the output tubes are 7B7's, yet the print shows them as 7B5's.
And what is the difference between a 7B5 and a 7B5E??

Thanks in advance.

It is a misprint. A 7B7 is an IF remote cutoff pentode and a 7B5 is an audio output tube equivalent to an octal 6K6. 7B5E????????

Kind regards,
Terry

The 'E' version of popular US types are European versions. Usually the gounding pin has different connection.
