Flea market find
I picked up this model 89B code 123 at a local fire company fund raiser flea market yesterday. I'm not into the cathedrals but there was a young kid who grabbed two tube amps and was eyeing up the Philco who gave me the impression it might be something he could stick a cd in. He already had the amps but at least I was able to save the Philco. It's a bit rough but all there.

Re: Flea market find
Good snag!! Looks like it might need a bit of cabinet work.

Which variant of the Bf 109 is the pic in the background of? Looks like an F, G, or K....

Re: Flea market find
Seems we've drifted badly into the Antique Aviation Forum.

I would suggest a move of your discussions to the CLUBHOUSE SECTION.

I had 1:48 plastic models of several WWII Allied and Axis aircraft myself growiig up.

How about Old Ron's Bar & Grill?

I have created a new topic there about planes, and moved the previous plane messages to that new topic:

Rocketeer - Nice find, in spite of it looking as if someone took a bite out of the top front edge. Perhaps some skillful woodwork will fix that issue. I've always liked Philco 89 sets. If you're not into cathedrals, just send it to me. Icon_wink Icon_lol

Re: Flea market find
Thank you, Ron. I apologize, I guess we just got caught up in the discussion we were having. It's not often I meet another person into WW II aviation as intensely as I.

Sure, Kutztown is only 741 miles away from here, and gasoline is only $3.79/gallon.

Nevertheless, I have every intention of attending that meet in the next few years...hopefully...
