Just acquired a 53-1750 Dropleaf table radio/phono!

Speaking of the 50's, I just bought my first Philco from the 1950's, a 1953 Dropleaf table with a radio and slide out phono. I think mine must be a late '53 as it has a grille that looks like the 54 model instead of the earlier one with a crisscross design. The phono can play LPs, 78s, and 45s after it is restored. The radio is simple in design with only 5 tubes. This table model was advertised by Philco as the perfect TV stand for a Philco television. I assume there are connections in the back that would allow you to connect the TV audio to the radio amp for better sound. I think you will agree this one seems to be in pretty good shape for being almost 60 years old!

Not my cup of tea, but agree in nice shape and a neat set in it's own right!

Nice find! Icon_thumbup

Era appropriate "Snazzy." Seriously looks in almost museum condition. Lemon oil on a soft old t shirt outside, tlc on the inside.
