Congratulations!

I've never owned a 42-1013, but that cabinet is one of my favorite Philco styles.

The changer in your 1013 is not the original Beam of Light unit - not sure what it is, but it is not a Philco changer. Probably installed in the early-mid 1950s as it appears to be a multi-speed changer.

yes I noticed that beam of light was supposed to be something special I read. but anyways it works great waiting for two belts to get all the speeds working the 78 works right off the drive shaft but the other speeds use the belts and their both stretched out but I cant stop looking at it I love it

A fine job and a beautiful radio. It has a stately, majestic appearance.

Keep up the great work!

When my pals were reading comic books
I was down in the basement in my dad's
workshop. Perusing his Sam's Photofoacts
Vol 1-50 admiring the old set and trying to
figure out what all those squiggly meant.
Circa 1966
Now I think I've got!
