rca 45-ey
#1

Hello.
I am working on a rca 45-ey record player and can't seem to get any sound through the speaker.Anyone know how to test a stylus to see if it is good?
Any other ideas?
Thanks the boyzz

If you can touch oe of the pickup leads with the gain off of zero, and get a loud hum, the amplifier is working, but the pickup is dead.

You'll need to find a ceramic cartridge as a replacement. Crystal pickups just don't live for a long time. Those RCA 45 players did have ceramic pickups in later models.
