Philco TH-4 Antenna

This model didn't have a built in loop antenna. Instead the specs say to attach a 20' wire for indoor use or use an outdoor antenna.

Anyone know if it really needs all 20' of wire for indoors? What gauge wire?

Any gauge wire - not critical. AWG 22 or 20 stranded is fine. Must be INSULATED so it won't short to anything metal. Run it 'round the baseboard of the room or stretch it out in long runs if you have a long room.
