Capacitor substitution
#1

I have a 0.0015 mfd paper capacitor that I would like/need to replace. The closest capacitor that I have are 0.001 mfd and 0.01 mfd.

Is there any acceptable substitution that I can use (or series or parallel configuration) ?

I'd go with the .001, close enough.

Capacitors in parallel are additive. Adding a .0005 mFd (500pF) in parallel will be .0015 mFd.
