dial lamps sockets and repair
#1

I'm fairly certain I have seen a thread or something in Chuck's forum on how to properly rebuild dial light sockets. Could be my aging brain but I can't seem to find it. Need the hints on the rubber in the socket and what to use. Mine on a 38-116 have just fallen apart. No connection to the bulb with nice power to them. No shorts yet! A little help please?

TA, that was exactly what I was looking for thanks so much. Now if anyone out there has a parts chassis for a 38-116, I need a couple parts. See the wanted add on the forum. I can remember when I see stuff of interest but often times when I need the info I forget where it was at.

Another trick may be to find a flat faucet washer of about the same size to use as an insulator, those are made out of a hard black rubber (likely synthetic) so they would look like they belong in there.
