The Knight 650 signal generator that I thought was broken now works, but I don't know how to operate it correctly. I will need help in this area. Perhaps someone could email me a copy of the operating part of the manual or tell me how to set it up for a particular test. I have a Heathkit manual for an equivalent SG, and I have been using that.

I have replaced almost every component save the 14AF7 in the osciallation circuit, and I still have no osciallation. The voltage reads a +6 volts when I apply the test correctly. All I hear in the speaker is a hum. The only thing left to test is the tuning capacitor for shorts. How do I do that?

Thanks for all your help,
Terry
