The marking on the loop antenna (if you look @ the ebay pics, http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Emerson-...3386feefa7 ) would seem to indicate a 7KW-228 model. If you look at this Worthpoint page: http://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/em...deco-table , they show a 7KW-228-2 that looks a little different. I wonder if the 13 on the back of the one on your pic means its a version 13 and thus accounts for the diff Icon_confused:

Here's an ebay.com.au post that has the 7KW-228 although the pictures seem to show only intermittently --- slow electrons from Australia?? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/1930s-40s-Eme...true&rt=nc

I think you got it, Bob. I thought it might be a DQ398 http://www.radiomuseum.org/r/emerson_dq3...ch_dq.html

It looks like they made quite a few that are almost identical around those years.

Yes, there were lots of them that had a similar style. Even some of their bakelites looked similar: http://radioattic.com/item.htm?radio=0270298
