Another Philco oddity?
#1

I have a 90 cabinet, and the rubber date stamp on the bottom is:

OCT6-'4

I know they didnt make 90's after 1932... so whats up with this?
am I reading it wrong? its a very clear stamp.

Thanks

I've seen some of those rubber stamped dates under Philco cabinets that could not possibly have matched the year of manufacture, such as yours. It is my belief that late in 1931, Philco may have ceased putting the calendar year on the stamp and began to use an inspection code instead?

Perhap, or I suppose If I can get an 89 with a 71 sticker on its chassis then I can get a 90 with the wrong date number Icon_smile

My other 90 doesnt seem to have any stamp on the base at all.

The Tone switches do work nicely with thier capacitors replaced!
