Philco 90
#1

I got lucky and picked up a really nice model 90 with the single 47 output tube. It has been poorly recapped and I am redoing it and restuffing the bakelite blocks. The previous owner did nothing with the metal can caps and they are all very leaky. Does anyone know what values connect to which points from items 24 and 30?
Thanks:

Found everything I needed in the Tech Section of Philcoradio.com

Hi Greg,
Brought a 90 lowboy home this week myself.
Nice cabinet and of course it needs to be re-capped.
I think mine is the later model with the 47 tube.
Not sure if it has 1 or 2 of these. Have not pulled the chassis yet.
Have any useful info that would help a rookie like me?
Wonder what these are worth in working condition?
Have fun with yours.
Notice the bayonnet styl switch mounted in the back?
Not hooked up to anything. Someone must have had a problem with the switch in the past and since replaced it.

#24 and #30 are both .25uFd.

The schematics offered here in this Philco site have been updated to include values of components. They are clear and easy to copy.

1. STRONGLY recommend Chucks site "Philco Repair Bench" and order his package for your specific set. It includes READABLE schematics and all changes and alignment info. He also blows up the schematic, a very handy thing especially if your eyes are those of a senior citizen.

2. If you ever have a chance to purchase old copies of the Philco Wiring Diagrams and Parts List and the later Philco RMS Manuals strongly recommend you do so.

Good luck with your 90 Murf! Its pretty straightforward, check all the coils first and see what shape they are in and get the info off the Philco site, you will need it.
