Started on a Philco 49-506 awhile back.  Here's a summary of the progress on refinishing it.

Flying Wedge is a sharp looking radio for sure, and the fact that you did not alter it adds to the value.

I like it. At some point I will get me one.

Not a big fan of these radios but I kinda like it restored.
I may have to rethink and own one. It will kill 2 birds with one stone.
I get the radio and mike gets to own the chassis for a while Icon_lolIcon_lolIcon_lolIcon_lol

I hate restoring Transitone chassis. I do not like restoring hot chassis or floating ones in general.
But I like the looks of certain AA5 and such radios, so I compromise.
