Schematic needed.
#1

I may buy this radio but I’m unable to find a schematic for it. I checked the usual sites but that Model number on the chassis didn’t show up. Any assistance would be appreciated.

It's a Canadian built Philco 32 volt battery set and from the grille cloth it's mid 1930s. I checked the Canadian list of models in the library and didn't see it. Maybe an expert can chime in with more info.

Hello guys,
I even looked at nostalgia air schematics under canadian Philco radios no luck either .
Those knobs are the same one that are on my Philco 610b thou.

Well from it's outward appearance it's sure seems to be a '36 model. Oval dial, black knobs, and clip in coil shields is all 1936. From what I can read there were two 32v sets, the model 32 and 642. The 32 is a two band set and the 642 is 3 bands. Think your set is is three. https://philcoradio.com/library/download...l.%201.pdf This is for the US version so it may not be a dead on copy of your set but give you some guidelines.

I was down in the basement in my dad's

figure out what all those squiggly meant.

Now I think I've got!

It would help if we knew what the tube lineup was, I found a Canadian made Philco 32 volt set from 1937 that used 2 volt battery tubes and a vibrator power supply, the U.S model 642 does not and uses 6.3 volt tubes, and a pair of #48s.

Thanks for all the responses. I’m going to pass on this one. My schematic reading abilities are very poor to start with and with no schematic at all to go by it would be a bit too difficult for me to restore. There’s always another radio down the line to work on.
Thanks again to all!
