112 schematic discrepancy?
#1

I am rebuilding the filter capacitor on my 112 chassis...and I have run into a problem with the schematic and diagrams not agreeing. I have compared the schematics in the Philco 28-36 book, with the Service Bulletin, with Raf Bintliff's book. The diagram of the internals of the capacitor block don't jive with the schematic. Particulars is the capacitors between lug 8-9, 9-3, and 10-3. The diagram says a 0.15uF goes between 8-9, a 2uF goes between 9-3, and a 2uF goes between 10-3. But the schematic says that a capacitor goes between lug 8-3, lug 10-9, and 9-3.

Does anyone have knowledge of which is right?

Well, I'll be darned...I never noticed that before.

There is an error on the schematic. I've straightened it out below:

I've corrected the 112 (Early) schematic in the Philco Schematics section of the Phorum. I've also corrected the 111 schematic which had the same error.

Thanks Ron!! Now I'll be able to finish the block rebuild tonight! Icon_smile

I'll add a note to the schematics in my books as well.
