Kirk's Emerson 804A
#1

Suffices it to say that I started it about 4:30pm and it worked two hrs later. In fact it started working while Kirk was sending me the schematic.

All I have done was

1)recap - 4 tubulars (someone replaced the electrolytic caps)
2) changed bad ballast-rectifier tube
3) replaced a wrong tube (12BA6 was instead of 12BE6). Plus this and another 12BA6 were swapped.
4) soldered the magnetic antenna. It was missing and Kirk told me it was in the tupperware container.

I worked with no sch as I realized the radio is very simikar to the Philco clock radio I just finished. Plus it was not recapped so no damage by others Icon_smile

That was quick!
