Question about A Philco 43-1201
#1

I was checking to see if anyone would know where to look for schematics or repair manual.
And what years it was made. Thank You.

I'll be the first for once. Welcome to the phorum. You might want to recheck the model number and/or post a pic. No model by that number can be found. Might it be a 48-1201?

Hi and welcome,
The "1201" was produced from 1946 thru 1948 aka the Bing Crosby set as he was the Philco pitch man in those days. It was pitched in a number of print ads and on his radio show. As for the set itself thru it's run there probably are some circuit differences like an eletrodynamic spkr vs a pm spkr or octal or loktal tubes but to the seasoned service tech of the day it presented little mystery .

When my pals were reading comic books
I was down in the basement in my dad's
workshop. Perusing his Sam's Photofoacts
Vol 1-50 admiring the old set and trying to
figure out what all those squiggly meant.
Circa 1966
Now I think I've got!

I know it can't be but it looks like a 43-1201
It must be an 8 Thanks.
#7

We can identify it with a pic.

Actually, a pic of the radio itself would be more helpful.

Sorry guys, that's 43-1201. No doubt a mis-stamp.

Code dates on speaker, transformers, tuning cap etc will give an approx build date.

The samp ends too sharply to have been a 8(especially at top & center), we'll just have to agree to disagree.

Maybe someone at Philco was pulling a prank?

Thank you for all the help!
It looks exactly like a 48-1201 so that's what I'm going with.
