The coil is about 800-1000 ohms. The value isn't very critical.
When my pals were reading comic books I was down in the basement in my dad's workshop. Perusing his Sam's Photofoacts Vol 1-50 admiring the old set and trying to figure out what all those squiggly meant. Circa 1966 Now I think I've got! Terry

It's a code 125.It looks like the radio should work without the meter in place.

I didn't see a resistor across the meter in the diagram. You can check the screen grid voltage on the IF amp and the mixer. If it's very low you need the resistor.

I put a jumper across where the meter leads are and the radio came up.
