  Did you know that Kolster-Brandes was originally the British division of a U.S company of the same name? I used to have one of their battery radios, built around 1927 or so, the U.S company failed financially and was gone by 1931. It's curious that your set uses tubes/lamps made by Mullard and Cossor, many K.B sets seem to have used American style tubes much as British Philcos did. One thing that I think is neat is that data plate on the back, the art deco style woman's face in a Killroy pose.
