38-17F Console
#1

Hi Guys,
https://philcoradio.com/gallery2/1938c/#Model_3817F
I'm looking for a pic or two of an original cabinet for any of these models: 38-10F, '17F, '33F, '34F, '35F, or '60F. I know that there is a pic of the 38-10F in the gallery but I'm think that it been refinished and not sure if the toners are correct.

I've had this project for a longtime abt 8yrs. When I got it it was complete but looked like it was painted with brown paint with a broom. Was able to get most of the paint off of the photofinish and it was in great shape. That was 8yrs ago. It sat with a large plastic bag over it in the shop where I use to work. Last week I had the opportunity to pick it up. This week I've been working on it with the hopes of getting some finish on it by the end of next week. Weather is going to be OK for spraying.

Chassis is close to being done still needs an output transformer and cone. I put the 8" cones away for safe keeping and I'll be darned if I can find them!!! GRRRRR. Maybe tonight I'll be able to give the chassis a go and see if it needs more work. So far all the E, foil caps, and 1/2 doz resistors.

When my pals were reading comic books
I was down in the basement in my dad's
workshop. Perusing his Sam's Photofoacts
Vol 1-50 admiring the old set and trying to
figure out what all those squiggly meant.
Circa 1966
Now I think I've got!

Terry
