BrendaAnnD: I believe you're right. Based on your information, I looked up part number 7007 on Bulletin 164-A and, yes, that's the capacitor. So, is the Red/Red a Philco code?
What lead me to inspect and test this capacitor was my attempt to align the dial marker on 2.5mHz while tuned to the Universal Time Coordinate radio station broadcasting at that frequency. I found that increasing this capacitance aligned the dial marker just right. The AM band is almost perfectly aligned with the dial indicator, which I consider pretty good for a seventy-nine year old set and for a radio technician who's not really a radio technician but just a radiophile.
