Silvertone 4587A
#4

The toothed attachment on the back of the tuner is part of a device called "Flash Tuning". I did a little reading on it as I didn't know anything about it! Evidently, it's for setting up favorite stations. when the switch is turned on the set is muted until you reach the specified station, at that point a contact breaks the circuit and the audio is turned on and a indicator light comes on. Kind of like Philcos "Conecentric" tuning. Should be fun to play with.
Jerry, that is Willow. She is my co-pilot and best buddy! Actually she is a Shetland Sheepdog, but she is large for her breed and most people call her the Lassie dog Icon_lol Shelties are smaller than Collies and come from Northern Scotland and the Shetland Isles. The funny thing about her is that if I try to get a picture of just her she won't get anywhere close to me, but every time I take pictures of new radio's I get, she will always manage to wander into the picture, maybe she is jealousIcon_lol! She wasn't too happy with me. She had to give up her backseat to the Silvertone and ride up front with me on the trip home!
