I have picked up a 7030 in very good exterior condition, makes a nice display piece. I am wondering if restored it would have better performance than a common Heath or Eico unit.
Thanks

I have one that I replaced the caps in and had to resolder the cable where it went into the probe. There is a tube in the probe.
I have not used it for troubleshooting yet but here is an instruction manual in case you don't have one.

Don't know if its better than Heath or Eico. Maybe someone can comment on that.

Thanks, I downloaded the manual, sounds interesting. I think I will go throuth it, and try it out. I did slide the the probe apart, some of the terminal clearances are very close and could use insulation.
