Yes, Michael. But strangely enough, I managed to keep the original veneer. I must admit that I don't really like it, so as soon as the weather permits, I plan to either tint it a different shade or replace it altogether.

Old tube radio Hallicrafters TM600C. First tests after repair.
This is a very interesting model of an all-wave universal portable battery radio from 1952 from a very creative American company Hallicrafters, which specialized in the production of high-quality receivers for radio amateurs and on order of the US military complex for the army and navy. This model became Hallicrafters' answer to Zenith and its all-wave portable model Transoceanic, but in my opinion it never managed to surpass its main competitor. This is only the first video of the first test after repair, in the following I will more popularly consider and describe the advantages and miscalculations, as well as interesting design features of this radio receiver
