PHILCO power transformers are made to the high specifications of the Philco Research Laboratories; they are built for continuous operation without excessive heat; and are all approved by the Underwriter's Laboratories. All windings are dipped in insulating varnish and baked. Heavy impregnated insulating material between the windings insures further protection. The transformers are all subjected to a 1500-volt primary to secondary insulation test for one minute.
Extremely rigid construction gives complete freedom from mechanical noise and hum. All transformers listed below are for operation on 100 to 125 volts, 50 to 60 cycles. The voltage ratings are listed at 120 volts primary. The transformers are designed for top mounting on the sub-base with wiring on the under side. Universal mounting clamps are available for top mounting with wiring on top of the sub-base.
