PHILCO tuning condensers noted by this star are of the type shown below. These condensers are in a steel mounting shell, cadmium plated. The insulating material is the best grade of bakelite. The condensers are counter-balanced and the rotors are driven by a cable. The rotor shaft is solid stainless steel set in bronze bearings.
